Vicar of Kirknewton, Northumberland, Headmaster of Morpeth School, 1631, and afterward of the P... School, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Being a steady Royalist, he suffered severely during the Civil War and, when Necastle was captured by the Scots in 1644, his house was plundered and his library destroyed.
