Vicar of Kirknewton, Northumberland, Headmaster of Morpeth School, 1631, and afterward of the P... School, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Being a steady Royalist, he suffered severely during the Civil War and, when Necastle was captured by the Scots in 1644, his house was plundered and his library destroyed. Bapt. at Morpeth 18 April 1598
